Please Note: This is an unusual contest itinerary. It is a two-day event with a prelims/finals format. There are 70 bands in competition from around the nation with several bands performing on Friday and Saturday. 

Friday, October 25

Equipment will begin being loaded at the end of 1st hour rehearsal.  It will need to be completed during Power Lunch.

1:00pm Report to Band Room after Power Lunch

• Wear 4 S’s, Hair up and ready
• Load buses

1:20 Depart 

2:00 Arrive at Dome

• Buses and Equipment Trucks enter parking lot

3:10-3:25 Physical Warm-up (Area B)

3:30-4:00 Band & Battery Warm-up (Area B)

4:05 Band Report Time

3:15-3:45 Pit Warm-up

3:50 Pit Report Time

4:30 PRELIMS PERFORMANCE

• After performance- take picture, dress down to 4 S’s
• Help with loading equipment
• Get a wristband
• Return to Dome to watch bands.  We will stay until the end of performances this year. 
• Eat concessions (bring $$ - most stands are cashless).

9:30 Depart Dome

10:15 Arrive LHS

• Equipment stays loaded on truck for Saturday

Saturday, October 26
3:30pm   Report to LHS Band Room

• Prelims Awards Presentation and Finalist Announcement
• Wear 4 S’s, Hair up and ready
• No nail polish, jewelry, etc.
• Watch prelim announcement relayed from the Dome. 
• Bandstanders will provide food for the students. 

3:30pm Prelims Awards Presentation and Finalist Announcement

• The band will gather back in LHS band room on Saturday to watch the preliminary awards announcement. 
• Should we score high enough to be in the finals competition (top 14 bands), we will return to The Dome by bus. Our evening performance time will be determined by lottery.
• If we are not eligible for finals, we will unload equipment and the band will be dismissed for the day. 

IF BAND MAKES FINALS: 

• Should we score high enough to be in the finals competition (top 14 bands), we will return to the dome by bus. Our evening performance time will be determined by lottery. 

7:00   Finals begin
10:45 Finals Awards
11:45       Approximate return to LHS. Unload equipment. Return uniforms.

IF BAND DOES NOT MAKES FINALS: 

• If we are not eligible for finals, we will unload equipment and the band will be dismissed for the day.

• Students should bring money to eat dinner on Friday at concession stands (most stands are cashless).
• A clear bag policy is in effect.  Only clear bags are allowed by spectators and students. 
• Band will be parking near the intersection of Broadway and Biddle Streets, north of the dome.
• NO VIDEO CAMERAS ALLOWED IN THE DOME. Still camera photos are allowed.
• Prelims Awards:  We are in Class AAA, determined by school size.
