Night of Bands
Freshman, Concert and Symphonic Bands will present the pieces they have been preparing for this year's Large Ensemble Festival!
LHS Night of Bands Concert is on Monday, March 3rd at 7:00pm in the LHS Auditorium.
Call times are as follows:
- 6:15 - Freshman Band
- 6:45 - Concert Band
- 7:15 - Symphonic Band
Estimated performance times:
- 7:00 - Freshman Band
- 7:25 - Concert Band
- 7:50 - Symphonic Band
PERFORMANCE ATTIRE- ALL BAND STUDENTS will be required to wear concert attire (tuxedo or black dress) for Night of Bands Concert on 3/3 and Large Ensemble Festival during the school day on 3/4.
Please be sure your student has the REQUIRED attire.
- Many students forgot items at the last concert and borrowed tuxedo shirts, bow ties, black socks, and Dinkles.
- We do not have enough extras to go around.
TUXEDO:
- Any students choosing to wear pants MUST wear a school provided tuxedo jacket and pants.
- Tuxedo wearers must provide their own tuxedo shirt and black bow tie.
- Tuxedo wearers must wear TALL black dress socks and black dress shoes (Dinkles are acceptable).
DRESS:
- Students may provide their own black dress for concerts. This dress must be ENTIRELY BLACK and cover the knees when seated.
- School provided concert dress (skirt and blouse sets) are also available to students who prefer that.
- All dress wearers (including school issued concert skirt and blouse wearers) must wear black dress shoes.
JEWELRY: Any jewelry should be simple and not distracting.
HAIR: Hair should be worn tidy as this as a formal concert setting.
AFTER CONCERT ON MONDAY NIGHT:
Tuxedo Wearers :
- Following their performance on March 3rd, students who wear tuxedos for their concert attire will hang up and turn in their tuxedo shirt and bow tie WITH their tuxedo shirt and pants on the same hanger.
- No tuxedos will be accepted at the return tables on March 3rd without a tuxedo shirt and bow tie included.
- They should plan accordingly and bring a shirt to wear home that evening.
Shoes
- Students are welcome to leave their dress shoes and socks in their band locker if they wish, so they don’t have remember those the next day.
- They will need to bring a change of shoes to wear home after the concert if they do that.
