LHS Graduation

Graduation Ceremony Wednesday, 5/20/26

• The LHS Graduation Band will play at the graduation ceremony.  Graduation band consists of all Symphonic band non-Seniors.  LHS Concert and Freshman band members who have siblings graduating can also participate.

~Itinerary for Graduation Band~

3:00 Rehearsal in band room.  Bring all concert attire items.

4:15 Pizza dinner provided by Bandstanders.

4:30 Change into uniforms/Load equipment.

5:00 Busses depart for Chaifetz Arena.

The bus will not wait for you if you are late.  It is very important that we get there early to set up.  Traffic can be very heavy at this time of day.  WE WANT TO BE SURE WE’RE THERE ON TIME TO PERFORM!!!

5:20 Arrive Chaifetz Arena.  Unload and set up.

6:50 Ceremony begins.

8:30 Approximate return to LHS.  Unload and return uniforms.

REMINDERS:

1. Everyone rides the bus.
2. If you are not returning by bus, you will need to arrange for return of uniform and instrument with another band member.  After our performance, you may change clothes and sit with your family.
3. Wear your complete concert attire.
4. Bring your own music!!!   
5. Remember, you are “on stage” at all times.  Respect the importance and dignity of the ceremony at all times.
6. Please have your rides pick you up from school as soon as we return!
7. PLAY GREAT!!!...especially for our band graduates!!!
8. WE WILL DEPART FROM THE CEREMONY AS SOON AS WE ARE DONE PLAYING 

PLEASE REMEMBER: PLAYING FOR GRADUATION IS AN IMPORTANT, TRADITIONAL ROLE OF THE BAND.  YOUR MUSICIANSHIP, POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND ENTHUSIASM WILL GO A LONG WAY IN MAKING THE EVENING VERY SPECIAL FOR OUR GRADUATES AND THEIR FAMILIES.
