Ameren's Thanks-for-Giving Parade 2025

The Ameren Thanks-for-Giving Parade is SATURDAY, 11/22/25 and Lindbergh bands is participating!  If students are participating in this parade, they must be fitted for uniforms.   

Please see itinerary below: 

11:30am- Call time at Sperreng Middle School

• Arrive in 4 S's and suit up in full uniform.  If you don’t have 4S’s, please wear black.  

• You can wear other leggings/shirts or warm clothes under uniforms.  

• Shakos will be worn.  Please have hair SHAKO-ready upon arrival.   There is NO time to do hair.  

12:00pm- depart Sperreng MS

12:30pm- arrive at parade check-in location

2:00pm - parade step-off - Lindbergh is 1st band!

2:30pm - load equipment and load buses

3:00pm - depart for Sperreng MS

3:30pm - arrive at Sperreng/change out of uniform

*Help unload equipment and instruments at LHS at the end if possible 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ATTIRE: 

• Because uniforms will need to be transported to Sperreng MS, your student must have been fitted for uniforms to participate in parade. For questions, reach out to Kim Bailey at kbailey314@gmail.com. 
• Band and Color Guard Students need to arrive prepared to get their uniforms on immediately. 
• Hair needs to be done when they arrive.  There is NO TIME to get help with hair. 
• Students will not get their uniforms unless they are fully prepped!  

BAND STUDENTS: 

• Full marching uniforms will be worn including Shakos.   
• Arrive in 4 S's  (band shirt, band shorts, band socks, and Dinkles). If you don’t have 4S’s, please wear black.  Dinkles will be provided for those that did not participate in marching band.
• You can wear other black leggings/shirts or warm clothes under uniforms. 
• No fingernail polish of any kind 
• Shakos will be worn for ALL band students (including front ensemble).  Please have hair SHAKO-READY upon arrival. 
• No jewelry (except for medical alert purposes) 

COLOR GUARD: Specific instructions regarding hair, makeup, and uniforms for parade will come from Mr. Hutson and section leaders.

"Band Blankets for the Homeless":  St. Louis Elk’s #9 Lodge will be collecting blankets as part of their annual drive to provide for the needy in our community.  

• Bring a blanket to keep warm before the parade … then DONATE THAT BLANKET TO THE HOMELESS.  
• We will also be collecting blankets in band room so send in your donation!  
• Your blanket will keep a homeless person warm all winter.
