Football Game - Band Concession Night

Game Time: 7:00pm

Band runs concession stand - volunteers needed. 

ITINERARY: 

• Call time: 5:30 pm @ LHS Band Room
• Eat dinner prior to call time! We will not be feeding the band.  
• LHS Marching Band will troop into the stadium before the game. 
• The band will perform their show pre-game entertainment (approximately 6:35pm) and perform National Anthem. 
• Game time is 7:00pm.  
• During the game, they sit in a designated section on the stands and perform the fight song, pep tunes, etc.  
• 3rd Quarter - break.  Students must report back to band bleachers by end of 3rd quarter.  
• After the game, the band will sing Alma Mater.  Then they will march back to the band room, put away uniforms and instruments, get final announcements if any, and then be dismissed. 
• Approximate pickup time is 10:00pm.

**Look to section leaders/directors for guidance on call-times that maybe different than calendar. 

PERFORMANCE ATTIRE GUIDELINES:

• Please arrive in 4S's
  • MB: band shirt, band shorts, LHS black band socks, Dinkles
  • CG: band shirt, body tights, black leggings/shorts, LHS black band socks, Jazz shoes
  • Uniforms will be worn
• Hair should be DONE and show ready when student arrives.  
• No fingernail polish of any kind
• No jewelry (except for medical alert purposes) 
  • Any piercings or jewelry that are visible and can be removed, should be removed.
  • Clear “piercing retainer” jewelry is permitted.
  • Piercing jewelry that cannot be removed will be covered with bandaids
• Students will not get their uniform unless they are fully prepped!

SHOW HAIR FOR FOOTBALL GAME + COMPETITIONS:  

• This is for Marching Band (including Pit/Front Ensemble & Prop Helpers)
• No Shakos this year.
• Hair must be a color that occurs naturally on human heads.  
• Hair should be slicked back using a strong hold gel combined with hairspray, preferably without a part.
• Long hair should be slicked back tightly into a low bun.  Medium length hair that is too short for a bun should be put in a low ponytail.  
• What to use: hairbrush, comb, STRONG HOLD hair gel, STRONG HOLD hairspray, bobby pins, hair ties, hair net that matches your hair color (for bun).
• *Color Guard: Specific instructions regarding hair, makeup, and uniforms for performances will come from directors/section leaders.

SPECTATORS:  

• Parents and friends do not sit with the band but are encouraged to sit in the stands and watch the band perform.
• There is a fee for spectators to enter the game. 
• Marching band/Color Guard students do NOT have to pay.
